Tax treatment depends on your residency, your treaty position, your entity’s activity and facts we may not know. Before relying on anything here, consult a CPA or tax adviser qualified in both the United States and your country of residence. Where you engage our tax filing service, the engagement letter for that service — not this page — governs what we are responsible for.

We control the quality and timing of our own work. We do not control any government agency, bank or payment processor, and we make no promise about what they will decide.

• Company name availability — a state may reject a name that looked clear on the register.
• Approval timing — every turnaround we publish is the agency’s own estimate or our recent experience, and agencies fall behind.
• EIN and ITIN issuance — the IRS decides, and its international desk is a manual paper process.
• Trademark registration — an examining attorney may refuse an application on legal grounds despite a clean search.
• Bank account or merchant account approval — the institution applies its own compliance criteria and does not have to explain a refusal.
• Any commercial, tax, immigration or liability outcome resulting from forming a company.

Where a service is described as an introduction or as assistance, our obligation is to prepare and present your application properly. The decision is not ours to give.

We work hard to keep this site accurate, but law, filing fees and agency processing times change constantly and sometimes without notice.

• State filing fees, annual report fees and franchise taxes shown on this site are indicative amounts reviewed each quarter. The exact figure confirmed in your checkout summary is what we will charge.
• Processing times are estimates published by the relevant agency, not commitments by us.
• Guides and articles reflect our understanding at the time of writing and are not updated continuously.
• Requirements such as beneficial ownership reporting have changed more than once through rulemaking and litigation. We apply the rule in force on the day we file.
