Corpation Filings LLC

In plain English: Cancel before we submit and you get 100% back, including the government fee. After submission, our service fee is refundable for 30 days if we got something wrong or you are not satisfied — but the government fee is gone, because the agency has it and does not return it.

01

The principle

Every payment you make to Corpation is made up of two different things, and they behave differently when you ask for a refund.

  • Our service fee is what you pay us to prepare, check and submit your filing. We control it, so we can refund it.
  • Government fees are what the Secretary of State, the IRS, FinCEN or the USPTO charge. We collect that money and hand it over at cost. Once an agency has it, that agency decides whether it comes back — and almost universally, it does not.

That distinction explains every rule below. We will not promise to refund money we never kept.

02

Before we submit: full refund, no questions

If you cancel before we have submitted your documents to a government agency, you receive a 100% refund of everything you paid — our service fee and the government fee, because we have not yet spent it.

There is no cancellation fee, no restocking charge, no retention call and no form to fill in. Email support@corpation.com with your order reference, or cancel from your dashboard.

In practice this window is usually a few hours, because we submit fast. If speed is the reason you missed the window, tell us — we will still look at it fairly under the guarantee below.

Our 30-day service guarantee

If we get something wrong, we do not want your money. For 30 days from your order, we will refund our service fee in full where:

  • We made an error on a filing, and it caused you a real problem.
  • We missed a deadline or turnaround we specifically committed to, for reasons within our control.
  • We sold you a service your situation did not require and we should have spotted it.
  • You are simply not satisfied with the standard of our work.

Where the error is ours, we also correct the filing and pay the agency’s re-filing fee ourselves. You are not asked to choose between a refund and a fix — you get both.

05

Service-specific rules

Formation packages

Refundable in full before submission. After submission, the service fee is refundable for 30 days and the state fee is not. If the state rejects your filing because of our error, we refile at our cost.

EIN and ITIN applications

Refundable in full before we submit the application. Once submitted, the fee covers work already done and is not refundable simply because the IRS is slow — its processing time is outside anyone’s control. If the IRS rejects an application because of our error, we refile free of charge. If it is rejected because of information you gave us, we refile free of charge and you cover any agency fee.

Registered agent and U.S. business address

Refunded pro-rata for the unused portion of the year, calculated from the date a replacement registered agent is recorded with the state. We cannot backdate a refund to before that date, because we were still legally acting as your agent.

Compliance suite and annual report filing

Refundable in full until the covered report is prepared. After the report is filed, the fee is earned. State report fees are never refundable.

Trademark registration

Refundable in full until the application is filed with the USPTO. After filing, neither our fee nor the USPTO fee is refundable — an examiner’s refusal is a legal outcome, not a service failure, and the search we performed before filing is where the value sat.

Banking introductions and payment setup

These are best-efforts services and the decision belongs to the bank or processor. If every partner we introduce you to declines your application, we refund the fee in full. We will not refund it because you changed your mind about which bank you wanted.

06

When we will not refund

  • A government agency has already been paid — that money is not ours to return.
  • The filing was completed correctly and you have simply changed your mind after 30 days.
  • You gave us inaccurate information and the filing failed as a result. We will still correct it free of charge.
  • An agency is slower than its own published estimate, or an outcome is refused on legal grounds.
  • The account was terminated for a breach of our Terms & Conditions, including the restricted business list.
  • The work was completed more than 30 days ago and no error on our part is identified.
07

How to request a refund

  • Email support@corpation.com from the address on your account, or use the cancel option in your dashboard.
  • Include your order reference — the CO- code on your confirmation.
  • Tell us in a sentence what went wrong. You do not need to justify a pre-submission cancellation.

We acknowledge every request within one business day and decide within five. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your card issuer. We will always explain a refusal in writing and tell you how to escalate it.

08

Chargebacks

Please talk to us before disputing a charge with your bank. A chargeback freezes the order, and a filing already accepted by a state cannot be reversed by your card issuer — you would be left with an active company and a suspended account.

We contest chargebacks raised without contacting us first, using the order record and correspondence as evidence. Where a chargeback is raised on a completed filing, we may suspend related recurring services, including registered agent representation, which can put your company’s good standing at risk.

09

Your statutory rights

This policy sits alongside, and does not reduce, any right you have under the consumer protection law of your country of residence. If mandatory local law gives you a stronger right — for example an EU or UK right of withdrawal — that right applies. Note that where you ask us to begin a filing immediately, a statutory cooling-off period may be shortened or lost by that request; we will tell you when that applies before you confirm.
